About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our expanding Accounting team. As a Senior GL Accountant, you will play a crucial role in driving process improvements, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations for assigned areas of the general ledger
- Be a key owner of the monthly close process for assigned regions and entities, ensuring timely and accurate completion
- Maintain financial records in accordance with US GAAP and consolidated financial statements, utilizing accepted methodologies
- Assist in providing audit support to external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews
- Communicate with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), operational partners, and external parties regarding significant accounting matters
- Conduct ad-hoc investigations and projects to drive process improvement initiatives
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a CPA certification being a significant plus
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong understanding of US GAAP, PCAOB standards, and SOX/internal controls
- Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, and GSuite is preferred, but not required
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong business acumen, process-oriented, and data-driven, with a keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets
