About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. As a Senior GL Accountant, you will play a critical role in driving process improvements, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. This is a 100% remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere and contribute to our growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations for assigned areas of the general ledger
- Be a key owner of the monthly close process for assigned regions and entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Maintain financial records in accordance with US GAAP and internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Assist with providing audit support to external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews
- Communicate with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), operational stakeholders, and external parties on significant accounting matters
- Participate in ad-hoc investigations and projects to drive process improvements and enhance our accounting operations
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a CPA certification being a plus
- At least 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a similar industry or role
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB standards, and SOX/internal controls
- Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, Coupa, or GSuite is preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy and precision in your work
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results
