As a Social Media Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our social marketing efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams to ideate and execute first-in-class campaigns that captivate audiences and drive results. You'll be responsible for leading creator and influencer content activations, partnering with paid media teams, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to amplify the reach and awareness of Freeform's original series and branded stunts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies for Freeform original series and branded stunt campaigns, driving high levels of digital engagement and keeping Freeform at the forefront of innovation.
- Lead creator and influencer content activations that amplify the reach and awareness of Freeform's original series and branded stunts across digital platforms.
- Partner with paid media teams to execute on digital creative and paid campaigns, ensuring seamless integration and maximum ROI.
- Collaborate with Ad Sales to ideate sponsorable social media opportunities that drive revenue and enhance brand partnerships.
- Coordinate with partners across Disney Entertainment Television and the broader Walt Disney Company on digital and general synergy activations supporting Freeform titles and stunts.
- Stay on top of trends, timely events, and cultural moments to activate on for series and stunt campaigns, ensuring relevance and timeliness.
- Support Senior Manager on tracking and monitoring campaign budgets and invoicing, ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency.
- Spearhead social media companion series, including but not limited to after-shows, cultural moments, talent shoots, and more by partnering with short-form production, programming, and internal creative directors.
- Capture social media content at red carpet events, photo shoots, talent press tours, and other relevant events, providing valuable insights and assets for future campaigns.
- Collaborate with social platform contacts and maintain strong relationships with key players such as TikTok, Meta, YouTube, and more, ensuring we're always ahead of the curve.
- Dive deep into social analytics and use metrics to inform content strategy in real-time, sharing key analytics and learnings with leadership and stakeholders.
- Act as a cross-functional teammate who engages, listens, and collaborates with internal teams throughout campaigns, driving a culture of innovation and excellence.
Essential Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in social media and/or digital marketing at a network or studio, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful large-scale campaigns/initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms and how to leverage each to drive KPIs, with a passion for staying ahead of the latest trends and best practices.
- Strong written and verbal skills, with excellent organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong creative instincts and judgment, with the ability to think outside the box and drive innovative solutions.
- Experience managing external agencies/partners/talent without oversight, with a strong understanding of how to build and maintain effective partnerships.
- Ability to work well within highly collaborative, multidisciplinary teams across various departments, with a strong understanding of how to drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience presenting campaigns and delivering results to external talent and stakeholders as well as internal C-suite executives, with a strong understanding of how to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the entertainment industry, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that come with marketing TV shows and movies.
- Knowledge of data analysis and metrics-driven decision making, with the ability to use data to inform content strategy and drive campaign optimization.
- Experience with social media management tools and platforms, such as Hootsuite or Sprout Social, and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Strong understanding of influencer marketing and how to leverage influencers to drive campaign results.
What We Offer:
As a valued member of our team, you'll enjoy a competitive salary range of $91,900 to $126,200 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications. You'll also be eligible for a bonus and/or long-term incentive units as part of our comprehensive compensation package.
