About Target and the Food & Beverage Team

Our Food & Beverage team plays a vital role in ensuring that our guests have a consistent and enjoyable shopping experience. As a Starbucks Team Leader, you'll be responsible for leading a team of experts to deliver on sales goals, maintain high levels of product freshness and quality, and provide exceptional guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand sales goals and plan daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement
- Model guest service standards and develop experts who share product knowledge with guests
- Assess Food Service back of house, production areas, dining spaces, and merchandising spaces to ensure food safety and proper inventory levels
- Lead your team to uphold and maintain all Starbucks Brand Standards and production specifications
- Foster a productive relationship with your Starbucks District Manager (if applicable) and attend required in-store planning and business meetings
- Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices
- Make production quantity decisions just in time to ensure freshness, in-stocks, sales, and profitability are achieved all day, every day
- Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team
- Establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to expectations
- Complete all Starbucks training requirements and certifications
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance, and lead your team to work in the same way
What We're Looking For
To succeed as a Starbucks Team Leader at Target, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- To be at least 18 years of age or older
- Previous retail experience (preferred but not required)
- Strong interest and knowledge of the food service business
- Leadership skills and the ability to hold others accountable
- Effective communication skills and a welcoming and helpful attitude
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Essential Skills and Competencies
- Ability to interpret instructions, reports, and information
- Accurate handling of cash register operations
- Physical ability to climb ladders, scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely (up to 40 pounds)
- Ability to work in spaces where common allergens may be handled or present

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, with a pay range of $24.00 - $40.80 per hour. In addition to your pay, you'll have access to a range of benefits, including:
