About the Role: Virtual Art Educator for 6th-8th Grade
We're seeking a highly skilled and certified Virtual Art Educator to join our team of educators delivering high-quality virtual academic instruction to 6th-8th grade students. As a Virtual Art Educator with Fullmind, you'll have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, foster creativity, and inspire young minds from the comfort of your own home. This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position, offering you the flexibility and autonomy to manage your schedule and teaching assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Virtual Art Instruction: Teach art classes to 6th-8th grade students, promoting creativity and excitement in the virtual learning environment.
- Develop Engaging Lesson Plans: Create strategies to engage and nurture student learning, and design lesson plans aligned with the class curriculum.
- Track Student Progress: Keep track of student grades and performance, providing constructive feedback to support their academic success.
- Utilize Technology Effectively: Leverage our educator portal and other digital tools to facilitate instruction, communicate with students, and manage your teaching assignments.
- Participate in Ongoing Training and Development: Engage in a Virtual Skills Teaching Demonstration and submit a background check as part of our rigorous application process.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active Teaching Certification: Currently hold an active, USA state-issued public teaching certification in Art Education, with a preference for South Carolina certification or willingness to pursue reciprocity.
- Bachelor's Degree: Hold a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Authorization to Work in the US: Be authorized to work in the United States.
- Technical Requirements: Possess a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet access to ensure seamless virtual instruction.

- Prior Online Teaching Experience: Have experience teaching online, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality virtual instruction.
