About the Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Team
As a key member of the arenaflex Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of packaging and mechatronics. Our team is dedicated to driving innovation across all aspects of mechatronics and packaging, focusing on industrial hardware, control machines, robotic cells, autonomous vehicles, sortation, packing technologies, and packaging materials. We foster strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders, including Operations, RME, ACES, Supply Chain, Transportation, and WW Design, to ensure the delivery of robust products that seamlessly integrate into our fulfillment network.
Job Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Quality Assurance Engineer - Virtual & Simulation Testing to develop and execute virtual system test plans, simulations, and emulations that validate system-level requirements, meet customer deliverables, and ensure integrated system performance. As a key member of the QA Virtual Testing team, you will partner with Product Teams, QA Manual Testing and Requirements Teams, and internal customers to drive high-quality product delivery, synchronize virtual and physical tests, and ensure new solutions meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and execute simulations and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) tests to virtually validate end-to-end solutions using real-life software.
- Virtually ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, operation, reliability, maintenance, training, deployment, process integration, and service and support prior to delivery.
- Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for products, communicating these to the product team, including hardware, software, controls, and materials development teams.
- Coordinate simulations and testing processes, identifying and analyzing issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, and recommending and facilitating solutions to these issues.
- Connect with internal customers, review client, customer, and user feedback, and maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree (BS) in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of proven experience working with large cross-functional engineering teams, with expertise in modeling, simulation, testing, integration, and/or quality assurance.
- Proven experience in fulfillment systems, including storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation systems, and related automation equipment.
- Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel up to 70% to business locations and project sites.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems, including robotics and high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, operations, and management.
- Project management skills to start and finish projects successfully.
