Job Description:
• Support and lead OCHIN’s multi state-level legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts
• Develop and execute advocacy strategies
• Build relationships with policymakers
• Represent OCHIN across multiple states
• Track, analyze, and influence state legislation and regulations
• Draft testimony, comment letters, and policy/data briefs
• Represent OCHIN in hearings, workgroups, and advocacy forums
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Candidates must be located on the West Coast and live with 1-hour maximum travel time to a major airport
• Minimum of 5 years of multi-state government relations experience required
• Experience executing multi-state government health care legislative initiatives required
• Demonstrated success influencing state policy outcomes
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience/working knowledge in health information technology highly preferred
• Experience with community health centers and/or rural hospitals highly preferred
• Strong writing and advocacy skills
• Skilled at producing high-quality advocacy materials to support state advocacy and member engagement.
