Location: Remote (US only) Job Type: Part-time · Contractor Compensation: $100–$200 per hour (based on experience) We are looking for a Financial Modeling Expert to join our customer's team and help shape the next generation of AI-powered financial solutions. In this role, you will apply deep expertise in valuation, deal modeling, and advanced financial analysis to design high-fidelity, real-world financial modeling tasks used to train and evaluate AI tutors for one of the world's largest companies. This is a remote, part-time contractor role with flexible working hours, hourly pay, and compensation that scales with the number of hours worked. Work Structure & Compensation • Hourly pay: $100–$200/hour • Minimum commitment: 10 hours per week • Flexible schedule — you choose your working hours • Opportunity to increase total compensation by taking on more hours Key Responsibilities • Design and build robust financial modeling tasks using precise source documents and referenced URLs. • Create detailed prompts and execution plans enabling AI systems to build models from scratch. • Develop gold-standard reference financial models and objective evaluation rubrics. • Build models including DCF (WACC), trading comps, precedent transactions, integrated 3-statement models, and LBOs. • Develop complex and bespoke transaction models (M&A, REIT conversion, sale-leaseback). • Perform due diligence analyses such as unit economics and cohort trends. • Collaborate with cross-functional AI development teams. Required Skills and Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, corporate development, or similar top-tier U.S. environments. • Expert-level proficiency in valuation analysis, financial modeling, and deal modeling. • Proven experience building complex models from scratch. • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear communication. • Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous setting. Preferred Qualifications • Experience across both sell-side and buy-side roles. • Familiarity with bespoke or complex transaction structures. • Experience designing evaluation or assessment rubrics.
