Engagement

What You’ll Do
Own financial oversight and forward visibility
Pressure-test forecasts, assumptions, and spend
Execute agreed outcomes (not just recommend them)
Liaise with external advisors (accountants, tax, legal, auditors, banks)
Source and engage specialists when required — clean scope, clean handoff
Ensure decisions actually land, not just get discussed
What You Will Not Do
Bookkeeping or transaction entry
Chasing receipts or herding cats
Explaining basic finance
Acting as an emotional shock absorber
Handhold or comfort founders
You’re a Fit If
You’ve been a real CFO or senior finance lead
You’re comfortable operating with partial information
You can drive action across third parties without positional authority
You default to clarity, not consensus

SaaS, services, or subscription experience
