Must be able to work: Tues-Sat 1:30pm-10pm EST
Responsibilities
• Assist with test utilization management (TUM) efforts, which includes either review of test orders at accession check or resolution of issues with client orders.
• Facilitate test set-up by ensuring appropriate relative samples and positive controls are linked, adding gene lists for custom tests, and other related tasks.
• Provide basic client services, including provision of turn-around-time, specimen requirements, information about tests on hold and cancellations, etc as required while performing TUM.
• Maintains knowledge of systems involved in test ordering and test setup, including the provider portal, Salesforce, OSCAR, XA, and LIMS.
• Appropriately identifies complex cases that require escalation to a supervisor or genetic counselor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
• Preferred degree in Medical Technology, chemistry, biology, or related physical sciences.
• Prior clinical or laboratory experience preferred but not required.
