This role involves contributing to the development and evaluation of advanced AI systems designed to replicate real-world workflows across historical analysis, primary source evaluation, and historiography.
• *Key Responsibilities**
- Create and assess complex problems and tasks in history, including analysis of historical events, primary sources, and historiography
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for conceptual accuracy, logical consistency, and relevance to real-world historical scholarship
- Provide clear written feedback on history-related content and problem sets
• *Ideal Qualifications**
- PhD in History from a U.S. university (required)
- Deep subject-matter expertise across core areas of history, with strong knowledge of historical methods, analysis, and interpretation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Prior teaching, research, or publication experience is a plus

- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: 1–2 months
- Commitment: Part-time, ~20 hours/week (potential to extend to 40 hours/week)
