We are seeking an HPC Engineer to join our team!
At Rescale, this means you will work on and impact:
Own end-to-end delivery of essential, core functionality for Rescale customers as well as rapidly iterating on new product ideas.
Work with your teammates to build and maintain high quality automation for building, testing, and maintaining our software catalog.
Develop and maintain critical areas of the product including seamless multi-cloud compute environments, job routing, and performance analytics.
Deliver deep technological solutions and support related to some of Rescale’s most powerful features.
Publish, manage and optimize complex HPC software for our most demanding customers.
Develop and implement processes and best practices associated with HPC services and support.
Identify opportunities for increased productivity through automation and tools and implement these solutions.
Design and improve processes to drive customer satisfaction by consistently meeting or exceeding commitments to customers and improving quality of deliverables.
Solve complex and high level problems related to the software customers are running on Rescale, requiring a high level of knowledge of the software, an in-depth knowledge of the environment the software runs in, and development of recommendation systems.
What we’re looking for:
5+ years experience with HPC Systems and/or HPC Applications
Experience with Linux/Unix operating system environments
Experience with scripting languages like Bash and Python
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
High-level knowledge of HPC, schedulers, and MPI
Familiarity with scientific computing libraries and tools like OpenMP and CUDA
General knowledge in at least one CAE discipline (CFD, FEA, Molecular Dynamics, Weather Forecasting, Computational Chemistry, Reservoir (Seismic) Simulation, Rendering, etc.)
2+ years of full-stack experience building and maintaining Python software in cloud based environments.
Experience in statistical analysis/AI/ML for feature extraction, recommendation algorithms, and/or prediction problems
Expertise or strong interest in the following areas: IaC tools such as Cloudformation or Terraform, serverless architecture such as AWS Lambda, devops and gitops for CI/CD pipeline development
High enthusiasm for supporting both rapid proof-of-concept prototypes as well as robust, mission critical components for both internal and external stakeholders.
A self-starter with a proven track record of driving project success and aligning in complex cross-team environments.
Technical aptitude to deeply understand the product and platform experience and customer journey within the high-performance computing and enterprise PaaS environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with colleagues and cross-functional teams and third parties
BS/BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
