Job description:
- Provides an educational program that meets the educational needs of student's in the area of Business Education.
- Provide instruction consistent with District and school expectations and which meets the educational needs of all students assigned to the teacher.
- Communicate with students, parents, administrators and other staff members in a manner which is consistent with District and school expectations.
- Maintain student records, organize resources and foster a learning environment which are consistent with District and school expectations, while maximizing student learning.
- Manage time, equipment, and materials efficiently and maintain a physical environment that is well organized, safe, and student-focused.
- Plan, prepare and implement instruction and assessment used to measure student growth.
- Honor and carry out the District initiatives and goals.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.
- Communicate student progress and development with parents and staff.
- Demonstrate creative and innovative lesson plans that contribute to a highly engaged learning community.
- Create a caring and nurturing learning atmosphere that allows for emotional and social growth students.
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate including GX Certification
- Meet requirements for Highly Qualified
Qualifications: Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with endorsement in secondary Business (GX certification).
Salary Range: $50,000 - $82,010 depending on education and experience
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Building Principal
