Back To Openings Information Technology Management Assistant Department: Navy & Marine Corps Office: Remote START YOUR APPLICATION This position is contingent upon contract award. Target salary range: $73,000 - $79,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. Location REMOTE - Center for Seabees and Facility Engineering (CSFE), Naval Base Ventura County, Port Hueneme, CA Objective Information Technology Management Assistant will ensure the smooth operation of the technology department by directing and managing all functions regarding technical resources and working closely with other senior leaders on IS business decisions. Qualified candidates should have Senior enlisted Naval Construction Force or Civil Corps Officer experience to be considered for this position. Job Description Validate schoolhouse requirements for Electronic Classrooms (ECR) and other multi-media. Submit ECR requirements requests into platforms such as SERENA Solutions Business Manager. Coordinate and track delivery status of ECR components for classroom conversion in accordance with Career Training Continuum (CTC) timelines. Load CTC rate-specific simulation onto NETC TRANET file share; prioritize electrical upgrades and finalize ECR drawing layouts for NAVFAC. Maintain an IS fielding project plan that communicates tasks, milestone dates, status, and resource allocation. Complete classroom implementation projects by coordinating resources and timetables with clients and stakeholders. Verify successful implementation by conducting operational checks of technologies implemented. Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes; identify problems, evaluate trends, anticipate requirements. Forecast requirements for the preparation of an annual budget. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational virtual workshops and meetings, reviewing NETC publications, establishing personal networks, and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices. Record detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders to establish the project deliverables. Suggest to government leadership appropriate hardware, applications, and software life-cycle methodology. Provide SITREPs on progress. Additional duties as assigned. Employment Status Full-time (40 hours per week). Salaried. Exempt. Qualifications 5 years experience related to training development and computer systems and applications. Analyze and define data requirements and specifications. Design, develop, install, and implement databases. Maintain, monitor, performance tuning, backup, and recovery of databases. install, configure, and maintain database management systems software. Analyze and plan for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements. Develop and administer data standards, policies, and procedures. Develop and implement data mining and data warehousing programs. Evaluate and provide recommendations on new database technologies and architecture. Ensure the rigorous application of information security/ information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of data management services. Analyze systems requirements in response to business requirements, risks, and costs. Evaluate, select, verify, and validate the systems software environment. Evaluate, select, and install compilers, assemblers, and utilities. Integrate hardware and software components within the systems environment. Monitor and fine-tune performance of the systems environment. Evaluate new system engineering technologies and their effect on the operating environment. Ensure that information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices are an integral element of the operating environment. Work Environment and Travel This position is remote as direct support for the Center for Seabees and Facility Engineering (CSFE) aboard Naval Base Ventura County, CA (Port Hueneme).
