As a Legal Counsel, you will play a vital role in supporting the Apple Pay team, providing expert guidance on the legal and regulatory landscape for consumer credit products and services. Your expertise will help navigate the complexities of laws and regulations, including TILA/Reg. Z, CARD Act, UDAAP/UDAP, ECOA/Reg. B, FDCPA/Reg. F, FCRA/Reg. V, E-Sign, and GLBA, as well as applicable state laws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide product counseling for mobile wallets, digital payments systems, and alternative payments
• Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements and terms and conditions for consumer credit products and services
• Interact with federal and state financial regulators and examiners
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape new initiatives and manage legal and regulatory risks
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the structure and operation of payment network rules
• Stay up-to-date on marketing and privacy laws applicable to credit cards and consumer finance

Requirements:

• J.D. degree and admission to at least one U.S. state bar
• Excellent academic credentials and prior in-house or large law firm experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent writing and communication skills
