The Lead, Global Policy Communications role is part of the Airbnb Communications team, a genuinely cross-functional group that acts as the connective tissue between the global team and in-region teams. The Communications team is responsible for telling Airbnb's policy story around the world, whether it's speaking to media, hosts and guests, industry commentators, thought leaders, or the wider community.
The Policy Communications team is part of the Global Corporate and Policy Communications team at Airbnb. The team is responsible for defending and promoting the company from a policy, business and financial, trust and safety, crisis, and executive standpoint. We proactively drive positive news about our business and maintain and shape a corporate narrative that aligns with the company's initiatives, such as our bi-annual product launches.
As a Lead, Global Policy Communications, you will be integrated into a company where the communications team is highly present in all external company activities. You will contribute to challenging and fulfilling projects, helping to deliver Airbnb's policy communications strategy, including managing a regular press office drumbeat of stories and news on Airbnb, and activating regional and global campaigns on policy matters.
