I am hiring a licensed U.S. employment attorney to review and redline an employment agreement for a technology company.
This role is strictly for licensed attorneys.
Paralegals, law students, legal researchers, and “legal consultants” will be declined immediately.
Scope of Work:
- Line-by-line legal review of an employment agreement (approx. 8 pages)
- Redline / markup with proposed contractual edits
- Identify and explain legal and economic risk
- Flag non-standard or aggressive provisions, including:
- IP assignment & prior inventions
- Outside activities restrictions
- Post-termination obligations
- Confidentiality & trade secrets
- Non-compete / non-solicitation
- Termination, severance, clawbacks, and other obligations
Provide a short written summary of:
- Key legal risks
- Negotiation priorities
- What is market vs. off-market
Attorney Requirements (Mandatory):
- Active U.S. bar license (must specify state)
- Primary practice area in employment law or IP law
- Experience reviewing employment agreements for technology, venture-backed, public or high-growth companies
- Available to complete work between Christmas and New Year
Deliverables:
- Redlined agreement (tracked changes)
- Written summary of risks and negotiation recommendations
Timeline:
- Contract shared immediately after engagement
- Target turnaround: 24–48 hours
Compensation:
- Flat fee preferred
- Include fee and availability in proposal
Required Proposal Format (Failure to Follow = Automatic Rejection):
- State(s) where you are licensed and year admitted
- Confirmation you are the attorney performing the work (not delegating to someone who is not an attorney)
- Employment law experience relevant to tech companies
- Confirmation of availability during the holiday period
- Proposed flat fee and turnaround time
