The Manager of Business Intelligence is primarily responsible for the success of Bethany's business intelligence efforts. This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Business Intelligence team while also actively contributing to the design, development, and delivery of products. This role will work closely with the Sr. Director of Information Systems, software developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to define software requirements, prioritize tasks, and set project goals while ensuring that the team products meet the diverse needs of the agency. This position is expected to function effectively with limited supervision while following guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manges the Business Intelligence team, including hiring, training, and staff supervision; - Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure that team members are motivated and engaged in their work; - Manage team sprint and scrum meetings to ensure alignment with departmental project management guidelines; - Oversee team performance and accountable to team KPIs; - Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure that business intelligence products meet the needs of the business and our customers; - Implement and maintain business intelligence best practices and quality standards, and ensure that they are followed by the team; - Identify areas for process improvement, and implement changes to optimize data infrastructure; - Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in business intelligence; - Monitor and report on project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and adjust project plans as needed; - Essential job responsibilities may vary based on the specific needs of each program/department; - May be required or asked to participate in a Bethany sponsored event; - Complete other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor’s degree in data science, information systems management, or related field of study from an accredited college; - At least five (5) years of professional experience in business intelligence field; - Proficient in and current knowledge of SQL, Python, MS Fabric, Power BI, and ETL tools; - Strong background in business intelligence, project management, innovation and problem solving; - Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams within a complex and fast-paced environment; - Agile project management; - Excellent verbal and written communication skills; - Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative; - Demonstrated ability to work in an organized, detailed, and cooperative manner; - Exercise a high level of confidentiality; - Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; - Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany; - Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate coverage; - Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries; - Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.
