Export Development Canada (EDC) supports Canadian businesses to succeed globally by providing financial tools and expertise. The Marketing Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Vice President of Marketing and ensure the smooth operation of the Marketing team.
Responsibilities
- Provide executive-level administrative support to the Vice President of Marketing and extended leadership team, including managing calendars and meetings, coordinating logistics, tracking follow-ups, and supporting travel and expense processes
- Support the broader Marketing team by coordinating meetings, town halls, and events; maintaining SharePoint sites and distribution lists; and supporting onboarding and offboarding for employees and consultants
- Coordinate with external agencies and internal partners such as Finance, Procurement, and IT
- Support agency onboarding and access, assist with invoicing and accruals, help track budgets and expenses, and ensure processes align with EDC policies
- Contribute to team engagement initiatives, support Marketing and corporate events, and collaborate across the organization to enable shared outcomes
Skills
- Experience in an administrative, coordinator, or operations support role
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- High attention to detail and strong follow‑through
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships across teams and with senior leaders
- Comfort supporting financial and administrative processes, including invoicing, accruals, and budget tracking
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and Word
- Demonstrated ability to use generative artificial intelligence technologies (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or equivalent tools) responsibly to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity
- Experience supporting Marketing, Communications, or agency based teams
- Event management experience
- Experience coordinating calendars, meetings, events, and information management in a complex organization
- Familiarity with procurement and financial systems such as ERPs (including procure‑to‑pay (P2P), SAP, or Oracle)
- Strong business acumen, customer‑service mindset, and ability to work independently
- Bilingualism (English/French) or willingness to continue developing second‑language skills
