Position Summary
The Medical Advisor Autoimmunity is a physician who plays a central role in clinical development and medical strategy across the portfolio. This role drives clinical study design and supports execution, contributing to development decisions and providing medical expertise across cross-functional teams.
The position operates with a high level of independence and has strong impact across the organization, supporting multiple functions including R&D, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, Marketing, PLCM and Quality Assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Development & Study Design
Drive clinical study design and support execution for new and existing assays
Define clinical strategy, endpoints, and study objectives in collaboration with Clinical Affairs and R&D
Act as a core team member in product development projects
Medical Strategy & Product Development
Provide medical input into development of new assets and intended uses
Contribute to shaping portfolio direction based on clinical relevance and patient needs
Clinical Approval Board (CAB)
Actively participate in the Clinical Approval Board (CAB), the internal governance forum where investigator-initiated studies and collaborations are reviewed and approved
Contribute to scientific and medical evaluation of proposals and support decision-making
Post-Market Surveillance & Risk Assessment
Lead medical evaluation of product performance, complaints, and clinical risks
Contribute to benefit-risk assessment and safety-related decisions
Ensure medical consistency across post-market activities
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Clinical Affairs, R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, PLCM and Quality Assurance teams
Provide medical input to support product development, regulatory activities and commercialization
External Engagement
Engage with key opinion leaders and scientific experts
Represent the company at scientific meetings and congresses
Contribute to scientific discussions and external collaborations
Basic Qualifications
MD required
Clinical background with experience in autoimmunity, immunology, rheumatology or related areas such as neurology, gastroenterology or general medicine preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong clinical judgment and ability to translate science into decisions
Ability to work independently and drive initiatives
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new tools and technologies, with a required mindset to effectively leverage AI and digital solutions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
High proficiency in English (required); additional European languages (e.g., German, Swedish) are a plus
