Medical Laboratory Technician - Part-Time Evening Shift

Job Summary:

As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will perform routine and complex laboratory analyses on clinical specimens, operating under supervision. Your responsibilities will include verifying analytic accuracy, operating and maintaining instrumentation, and participating in quality control programs. This is a part-time, evening shift position, offering a competitive compensation package, including a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of routine and complex procedures to provide quality clinical information (50%)
• Operate, calibrate, check, and maintain instrumentation (30%)
• Participate in programs to stay updated with current and changing technologies (5%)
• Collect and process patient specimens in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures (5%)
• Maintain a clean work area and adequate supplies for efficient laboratory operations (5%)
• Mentor students and new employees in laboratory testing procedures (5%)
• Perform other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in an ASCP-eligible program or equivalent
• Meet ongoing education requirements for certification
• Preferred: Clinical laboratory experience
