The Payroll Analyst will assist the payroll team with global payroll operations, ensuring accurate payroll payments, processing payrolls in accordance with regulations, and resolving discrepancies. Responsibilities - Assist the payroll team with day-to-day global payroll operations - Ensure accurate payroll payments to employees across multiple jurisdictions - Calculate and process employee payrolls in accordance with company policies and tax regulations - Perform essential reconciliations to ensure payroll accuracy - Generate reports and maintain payroll records - Identify, investigate, and resolve payroll discrepancies with clarity and transparency - Assist with timely responses to inquiries as needed - Address and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies, including incorrect payments, missed deductions, or employee inquiries about their pay - Provide collaborative assistance to payroll stakeholders regarding payroll-related matters - Carry out other assigned duties as needed Skills - Previous experience in payroll processing or a similar role - Strong analytical and numerical skills with keen attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills to address payroll issues efficiently - Proficient in Excel for data analysis and reporting - Demonstrates sound judgment in decision-making processes and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with employees and management - Ability to work under tight deadlines, including extended hours if necessary - Maintains confidentiality with a high level of honesty and integrity - Ability to identify deficiencies in processes, suggest improvements for efficiency, and implement enhancements - Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred - Certification from the American Payroll Association, such as the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), is advantageous - Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Benefits - Generous Holiday policies - Paid volunteer time to step away from your desk and into the community - Support to grow through professional development courses, tuition/qualification reimbursement and more - Maternal/paternal leave benefits and family services - Complimentary subscription to Headspace – the mindfulness app - Corporate membership to ClassPass and other health and well-being benefits - Unique employee events and programs including a 14er challenge - Complimentary beverages, snacks and all employee Happy Hours - Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. - Competitive compensation - Pension/retirement plans - Various health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits Company Overview - Janus Henderson Investors is an asset management company that provides investment products and portfolio management services to its clients.
