Position Overview

As a Performance Coach at Brain Balance, you will play a critical role in helping children with social, emotional, academic, and behavioral struggles. You will work part-time hours, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., providing sensory and motor activities that stimulate the brain and promote positive change. Key Responsibilities:

• Work with children aged 4-18 with social, emotional, academic, and behavioral challenges, including those with formal diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD, Asperger's, ODD, Dyslexia, Learning and Processing Disorders.
• Provide sensory and motor activities that stimulate the brain and promote positive change.
• Develop strong relationships with children and their families, providing support and guidance throughout their journey.
• Collaborate with our team of professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to each child's program.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and research in the field.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all children, adhering to our high standards of care and compassion.

Essential Qualifications:

• A genuine desire to help children and their families achieve their goals.
• A steady supply of empathy, compassion, enthusiasm, patience, kindness, and reliability.
• Strong curiosity and a desire to learn about why children struggle.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 (on or before the first day of employment).
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule.
• The ability to pass a background check, criminal check, and child abuse clearance.
• Reliable transportation/Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Studied, majored, or minored in psychology, education, special education, child care, behavioral health, health science, or a related field.
• Experience working with children, whether as a babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, camp counselor, or some other form of childcare.
