About the Role
As a Provider Customer Service Call and Chat Representative at blithequark, you will be the critical link between our organization and the healthcare providers who care for our members. Your expertise and support will be instrumental in addressing provider inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering a positive experience. This full-time role requires a strong foundation in customer service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex systems with ease.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the advocate for providers, demonstrating accountability and ownership to resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Provide multi-channel support to providers through call and concurrent chat, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
- Quickly triage contacts from healthcare professionals, identifying their needs and providing accurate, relevant responses to their inquiries.
- Research and resolve complex issues related to benefits and eligibility, billing and payments, clinical authorizations, explanation of benefits, and behavioral health.
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure issues are thoroughly communicated and resolved, promoting provider satisfaction.
- Utilize multitasking skills to efficiently navigate over 30 systems, extracting necessary information to resolve issues across multiple lines of business and provider types.
- Influence providers to utilize self-service digital tools, aiding in faster resolution and promoting the benefits of these tools.
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, with a proven track record of analyzing and solving customer concerns.
- Proficiency in computer and Windows PC applications, with the ability to learn new and complex systems.
- Typing speed of 35-40 WPM with 90% accuracy.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week), Monday - Friday, between 10:35 AM - 7:05 PM CST, with flexibility to work occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a related environment, such as a call center or customer service role, using phones and computers as primary job tools.
- Prior healthcare experience and knowledge of healthcare terminology.
Telecommuting Requirements
- Reside within the state of Indiana.
- Ability to maintain the security and confidentiality of company-sensitive documents.
- Dedicated work area that is separate from living areas and provides information privacy.
- Access to a high-speed internet connection that meets blithequark's requirements.
