You’ll play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, strengthening reporting accuracy, and improving data workflows through automation and documentation. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and a collaborative mindset.   What You’ll Do: Data Analysis & Reporting - Assist members of the Reinsurance team by pulling and organizing data from internal systems, analyzing findings, and summarizing results - Build and maintain recurring reports and dashboards to support reinsurance analysis and decision‑making - Investigate ad hoc data questions and deliver clear, data‑driven insights Data Accuracy & Quality Control - Check data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency - Identify, flag, and help resolve data issues or anomalies Systems, Automation & Workflow Support - Partner with IT to develop, test, and maintain scripts and data processes - Support ongoing improvements to reporting efficiency, automation, and data workflows Documentation & Knowledge Sharing - Document processes and methodologies to ensure work is repeatable, maintainable, and reviewable - Contribute to process standardization and best‑practice documentation across the team What You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, quantitative finance, or a related field - Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Power BI - Prior experience in reinsurance strongly preferred - Prior experience in insurance, finance, or quantitative roles (3+ years preferred) - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a high attention to detail - Ability to communicate analytical results clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences - Self‑motivated, eager to learn, and able to manage multiple tasks in a deadline‑driven environment Core Competencies - Data Analysis & Quantitative Reasoning: Strong ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends and patterns, and produce accurate, actionable insights. - Technical & Data Tools Proficiency: Proficient in Python, SQL, and Power BI, with the ability to build, maintain, and enhance reporting and analytical solutions. - Reinsurance & Insurance Acumen: Understanding of reinsurance concepts and insurance data, with the ability to apply domain knowledge to analytical work. - Problem Solving & Attention to Detail: Demonstrates precision, critical thinking, and sound judgment when validating data, resolving issues, and answering ad hoc questions. - Communication & Insight Translation: Ability to clearly explain analytical findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, enabling informed decision‑making. - Initiative, Learning Agility & Time Management: Self‑motivated, eager to learn, and effective at managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
