Position Overview
Remote (In‑Home) ABA/Autism Therapist – Woodstock, GA

Core Responsibilities
As a Remote ABA/Autism Therapist, you will serve as the frontline of our therapeutic model, providing one‑on‑one, evidence‑based interventions directly in the child’s home. Your daily activities will include:
- Implementing individualized ABA treatment plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), ensuring fidelity to data‑driven methodologies.
- Collecting precise behavior, skill acquisition, and progress data during each session using digital platforms approved by Key Autism.
- Conducting discrete trial teaching (DTT), natural environment teaching (NET), and behavior support strategies tailored to each child’s unique needs.
- Collaborating closely with your assigned BCBA supervisor to review data, adjust goals, and refine intervention techniques on a weekly basis.
- Communicating regularly with families to provide updates, answer questions, and coach caregivers on how to reinforce skills outside of therapy hours.
- Maintaining professional punctuality, preparedness, and adherence to all safety and confidentiality protocols.
- Participating in ongoing professional development sessions, case reviews, and peer‑learning circles hosted by Key Autism.

Essential Qualifications
To thrive in this role, candidates must demonstrate a blend of formal education, relevant experience, and personal attributes that align with the rigorous demands of ABA therapy.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, special education, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required. If you are not yet certified, Key Autism provides full assistance—including study materials, exam fees, and supervisor support—to help you obtain the credential.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of direct 1:1 work with children in an ABA or special‑education setting. Candidates without direct ABA experience may qualify if they have 1‑2 years as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Teacher’s Assistant, or ABA Tutor.
- Transportation: Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance are mandatory for traveling between client homes.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 35 lb, bend, kneel, squat, and sit on the floor or a chair for extended periods; quick response to child movement within a 100‑foot radius; willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal abilities to document data accurately and convey information clearly to families and supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications & Additional Assets
- Experience with Cognitive Behavioral Intervention Plans (CBIPs) or similar therapeutic frameworks.
- Previous exposure to telehealth platforms for data entry or caregiver coaching.
- College coursework or certifications in Applied Behavior Analysis, Developmental Psychology, or Autism Spectrum Disorders.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional growth (e.g., attending conferences, pursuing BCBA coursework).
- Multilingual abilities, particularly Spanish, to better serve diverse families.
