In this role, you will take ownership of a portfolio of Financial Advisor accounts, managing high-priority clients and fostering long-term relationships to drive revenue growth and enhance client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted partner and primary contact for Financial Advisors
- Strategically engage and retain clients by understanding their needs
- Counsel Advisors on best practices to optimize SmartAsset campaigns
- Lead high-priority client escalation calls, including negotiations
- Maximize revenue by selling additional products and services
- Manage and drive revenue in a growing book of business
- Utilize Tableau and other sales tools to uncover new business opportunities
- Represent the AM business in strategic meetings and provide feedback to the leadership team
- Liaise with Account Executive and Advisor Support teams
- Work with sales operations, marketing, and product teams to share advisor insights
- Drive adoption of new tools and features across the team
- Maintain accurate Salesforce records for Advisor accounts
- Assist with Outreach Automation Tool (OAT) setup and maintenance
- Investigate billing discrepancies and intermediate finance conversations
- Oversee pre-activation processes, including compliance approvals and onboarding
- Action feedback from the Concierge team to improve engagement
Skills
- 1+ years of experience in account management with a proven ability to manage a high volume of clients
- Excellent communication skills and a strong phone presence to effectively engage with clients
- Skilled in building and maintaining lasting client relationships through multiple communication channels (email, phone, virtual meetings)
- Proven consultative sales expertise, adept at identifying client needs and delivering tailored solutions
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment, with experience in team leadership or management
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to communicate via phone calls and/or video conferences (mainly for concierge and sales roles)
- Interest in the financial advisory industry with a strong willingness to learn. While prior experience is not required, the ability to communicate effectively and confidently with financial advisors is essential
