[Remote] Construction + Facilities Manager

The Construction + Facilities Manager will oversee the construction of new veterinary hospitals and renovations, manage project budgets, and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Responsibilities • Mange construction of new veterinary hospitals and renovation projects from concept through completion • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to determine project specifications • Oversee bidding, vendor negotiations, and contract management • Manage project schedules, milestones, and budgets to ensure successful delivery • Review and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and structural drawings • Hire and manage contractors, vendors, and consultants • Supervise general contractors and construction teams, providing guidance and oversight as needed • Oversee the permitting process and ensure projects meet regulatory requirements • Investigate and resolve project issues such as delays, safety concerns, or damage • Manage budgets for small to medium-sized construction projects • Monitor project costs, change orders, and financial performance • Identify and mitigate risk throughout the construction lifecycle • Oversee facilities repairs and maintenance across existing veterinary centers • Manage facilities specialist responsible for maintenance and repair requests • Evaluate facility issues and provide recommendations for repairs and improvements Skills • Bachelor's degree in a construction related field such as Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Building Science • Proven experience managing construction projects from planning through completion • Expertise in Procore construction management software • Experience managing project budgets and vendor contracts • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans • Willingness to travel frequently to job sites (travel up to 80%) • Experience working with medical or veterinary equipment • Experience managing multi site facilities operations • Experience in fast paced or high growth environments Company Overview • Heart + Paw is a pet care company that provides veterinary care, grooming, daycare, boarding, retail, and complementary services.
