Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Software Engineer to join our team at Workwarp. As a Remote Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-volume services that enable dynamic content on Amazon devices and applications. This is a remote opportunity with a competitive salary of $35/hour, and we are looking for someone to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-volume services that enable dynamic content on Amazon devices and applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and services
- Take a long-term perspective on design, proactively identifying and addressing technical gaps or proposing larger projects
- Understand the business impact of your systems and demonstrate good judgment when making technical trade-offs
- Drive engineering best practices and set standards for the team
- Contribute to the professional development of colleagues, improving their technical knowledge and engineering practices
Requirements:
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of experience with at least one programming language
- 2+ years of experience leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and deployment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
