[Remote] Technologist / BIM & AI Specialist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Krause Architecture + Interiors is seeking a forward-thinking Technologist to help evolve how their studio designs, documents, and delivers projects. This role combines advanced BIM leadership with exploration of emerging tools including automation, data workflows, and AI-assisted production. Responsibilities • Lead the development, refinement, and deployment of firm-wide Revit templates, standards, and documentation workflows • Maintain and expand the firm’s BIM library of parametric families and details • Monitor model health, performance, and coordination across active projects • Support teams in BIM Execution Plan development and consultant coordination • Conduct technical drawing reviews to ensure model-based documentation quality • Identify opportunities to streamline production through automation, scripting, and digital workflows • Explore integrations between BIM, data, visualization, and project management platforms • Evaluate and test emerging tools that enhance modeling, documentation, and coordination efficiency • Support implementation of new technologies across the studio • Help the firm explore how AI can support design documentation, modeling workflows, and data extraction • Research and test emerging digital tools relevant to architecture practice • Collaborate with leadership to shape long-term digital strategy and workflow evolution • Assist in developing internal guidance for responsible and effective use of AI tools • Provide targeted training sessions to improve team BIM proficiency • Assist project teams with complex modeling challenges and family development • Support new project set up and cloud collaboration environments Skills • Advanced Revit expertise with experience on large or complex projects • Strong understanding of BIM standards, model coordination, and documentation workflows • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (Docs / BIM360) • Interest in automation, computational workflows, or digital practice innovation • Curiosity about emerging AI tools and willingness to test and implement new ideas • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with remote teams • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related field • Minimum 5 years' experience required Company Overview • Archinect operates a digital platform that publishes architecture news, community discussions, job listings, and firm and school profiles.
