The Total Loss Specialist I will be responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and processing Total Loss and Insurance Repair accounts while ensuring compliance with regulations and service levels.
Responsibilities
- Handle and process assigned volume within Total Loss and Insurance Repair processes for appropriate handling within established SLA, policy and procedures
- Service Potential and Actual Total Loss and Insurance Repair calls within established call handling and correspondence requirements
- Complete end to end Total Loss and Insurance Repair functions with accuracy and in compliance with regulations, policy and procedure
- Assist other departments as well as Total Loss and Insurance Repair vendors as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience in servicing center environment
- Aptitude to evaluate and assess information and demonstrate sound business decision making ability
- Basic math skills required to calculate overall company cost benefit analysis including Insurance claims
- Detail oriented with a keen focus on accuracy and all aspects surrounding Loss Mitigation
- Ability to work in a production, goal, and quality based environment
- Established verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Adaptable to changes within a face paced environment
- Experience within auto finance industry
- Experience in Total Loss and/or Insurance Repair processes
- Knowledge of Total Loss, Insurance Repair and/or Insurance regulations, requirements and structure
- General knowledge of collections policies and procedures and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
