We are seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to join our Digital Products, Data Analytics & Intellectual Property team at Walgreens. As a trusted advisor to our business leaders, you will provide strategic counsel and guidance on a wide range of legal issues, from digital product development to intellectual property and data analytics. Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic counsel and guidance to business leaders on a wide range of legal issues, including digital product development, data analytics, and intellectual property
- Develop and implement intellectual property portfolio strategies that align with Walgreens' business objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and technology, to drive business outcomes
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of legal issues, identifying potential risks and opportunities
- Draft and review complex legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory submissions
- Manage and coordinate with external counsel, as needed
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and developments in digital products, data analytics, and intellectual property
Essential Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- At least 5 years of post-bar attorney experience in a combination of law firm and corporate settings
- Licensure to practice law in at least one state
- Illinois bar membership or active bar participation in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Proven experience in providing strategic counsel and guidance to business leaders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the retail pharmacy or healthcare industry
- Familiarity with digital products, data analytics, and intellectual property
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience with project management and team leadership
