About the Role
The Information Designing group within blithequark is looking for a Senior Information Designer who will be responsible for planning and executing ETL/ELT data pipelines, designing and implementing database mapping/tables/views, and building batch processes using Wind current for various projects. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will collaborate with our Studios and Project Technology colleagues on different activities around data requirements gathering, data validation scheduling, and review, developing and checking ETL/ELT data pipelines, designing and implementing database schema/tables/views, and deployment across multiple environments like DEV, QA/UAT, and Production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL, Python, and Wind current
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and validate data quality
- Develop and implement database schema, tables, and views to support business intelligence and analytics
- Build and maintain batch processes using Wind current and other technologies
- Work with large datasets and big data technologies, including Snowflake, Databricks, and cloud-based storage solutions like AWS S3
- Participate in driving best practices around data engineering software development processes
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across multiple environments and systems
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in an Information Designing or Data Engineering role
- 2+ years of experience with SQL and ETL/ELT data pipelines
- 2+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies, preferably AWS and S3
- 2+ years of experience working with data lakes, data warehouses, and application databases
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Gitlab, Wind current, and social databases
- Experience with Docker, Gitlab/Github, and other DevOps tools
Preferred Qualifications
To stand out as a candidate, you should have:
- Experience with Wind current, Gitlab, Snowflake, and Scene
- A graduate degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in the streaming, media, or digital marketing domain
- Knowledge of big data technologies, including Databricks and Snowflake
- A strong understanding of data engineering principles and best practices
