Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis, working remotely from anywhere in the United States. As a Sr. Data Engineer at NIKE, Inc., you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the adoption of new technologies and data processing frameworks. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement data processing pipelines using tools and languages common in the Hadoop or Cloud ecosystems.
• Collaborate with product owners, data analysts, and business partners to develop data-driven solutions using Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Contribute to the development of architecture, frameworks, and patterns for processing and storing large volumes of data.
• Build utilities, user-defined functions, and frameworks to enable data flow patterns.
• Develop and maintain job orchestration and scheduling systems.
• Research, evaluate, and adopt new technologies/tools/frameworks focused on high-volume data processing.
• Define and implement suitable data acquisition and ingestion techniques for given technical scenarios.
• Build and integrate automated unit tests and participate in integration testing efforts.
• Work with architecture/engineering leads and other teams to ensure high-quality solutions are implemented and engineering best practices are defined and adhered to.
• Troubleshoot operational and performance issues across teams.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Electronics and Communications, or Technology.
• At least 2 years of experience in data engineering or a related occupation.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and Scala.
• Experience with Big Data Frameworks like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Databricks.
• Knowledge of ETL Tools such as Informatica and PLSQL.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Unix and PowerShell.
• Experience working with databases such as Oracle, MYSQL, SQL Server, Teradata, and Snowflake.
• Awareness of AWS tools like EMR, S3, and Kinesis.
• Familiarity with Analytics Tools such as Tableau and Cognos.
• Experience with Streaming Frameworks like Kafka and Spark Streaming.
• Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools like Airflow and Autosys.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, having experience with:

• Cloud-based data platforms.
• Machine learning frameworks.
• Data governance and data quality.
• DevOps practices and tools.
