About the Role
The Examination group at blithequark is seeking experienced Information Researchers and Senior Information Researchers to lead measurement, strategy, and strategic decision-making across the organization. As a Senior Data Scientist, Analytics, you'll work closely with various stakeholders to identify key business problems, develop data-driven solutions, and communicate insights to drive growth and improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize quantitative analysis and data visualization to uncover insights and understand business drivers
- Design and implement full-cycle analysis projects, reports, and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools
- Mentor junior analysts on advanced techniques and problem-solving strategies
- Develop recommendations and validate findings using statistical methods and hypothesis testing
- Provide insights to help business and product leaders understand market dynamics, customer behavior, and long-term trends
- Identify and measure levers to drive key metrics and make recommendations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement, report, validate, and monitor logging
- Report against company objectives by identifying key metrics and building leader-facing dashboards to track progress
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in data analysis, consulting, or a related role
- Experience working with pipeline optimization, customer segmentation, cohort analysis, time series analysis, regression models, etc.
- Proficiency in SQL queries, ETL, A/B Testing, and statistical analysis (e.g., hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions) with statistical packages like Matlab, R, SAS, or Python
- Experience with at least one analysis and visualization tool (e.g., Chartio, Looker, Tableau)
- The ability to take ambiguous problems and solve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported way
