Description We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Automation team, focused on building next-generation automation capabilities beyond traditional RPA. This role is ideal for a strong developer who can design and build scalable automation solutions, custom services, and AI-driven workflows, while supporting and extending existing RPA initiatives. Rather than a tool-specific RPA developer, we are looking for an engineering-first mindset-someone who can leverage platforms like UiPath when needed, but primarily builds reusable, intelligent automation solutions using modern software engineering practices, with strong hands-on experience in cloud platforms to design and deploy scalable, cloud-native automation systems, along with AI capabilities. • Design and develop scalable automation solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks • Build custom services, APIs, and orchestration layers to extend RPA capabilities • Integrate RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath) with enterprise systems, APIs, and data platforms • Develop AI-powered automation workflows, including intelligent decisioning and agent-based automation • Collaborate with business and integration teams to translate requirements into automation-first solutions • Design event-driven and API-based automation architectures aligned with enterprise standards • Create reusable automation frameworks, libraries, and accelerators • Ensure solutions are secure, observable, and scalable • Contribute to evolving the team toward intelligent, autonomous automation (agentic model) • Mentor team members and help elevate engineering practices within the RPA team Estimated salary range for this position is $99583.81 - $129458.95 / year depending on experience. Core Engineering Skills: • Strong proficiency in one or more languages: Python, Java, C#, or Node.js • Experience building APIs, microservices, and backend systems • Solid understanding of software design patterns and architecture principles • Experience with event-driven systems and asynchronous processing • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, coding frameworks, and modern AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude CoWork or similar tools) • Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices Cloud & Platform Hands-on experience with cloud platforms is required (GCP/AWS preferred) • Proven experience designing and building cloud-native applications and services • Experience with services such as Pub/Sub, serverless compute (Cloud Functions / Cloud Run / Lambda), and cloud storage systems • Understanding of cloud architecture patterns, scalability, and cost optimization • Experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments Automation & Integration • Experience working with or alongside RPA platforms (UiPath preferred, not mandatory) • Strong understanding of API integrations, messaging systems, and workflows • Experience integrating with enterprise systems (ERP, EHR, SaaS platforms, etc.) Minimum Required Experience: 7 YearsDegrees: • Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent is required.
