Job Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Software QA Engineer with a strong background in manual testing to join our team. As a Senior Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and validating test cases to ensure that our software products meet the highest quality standards. You will work collaboratively with our Agile teams to identify and prioritize testing efforts, develop and maintain test cases, and execute tests to ensure that our software products are thoroughly tested and validated.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases to ensure that software products meet quality standards and requirements
- Collaborate with Agile teams to identify and prioritize testing efforts, and to develop and maintain test cases
- Execute tests to ensure that software products are thoroughly tested and validated, and identify and report defects and issues
- Work closely with development teams to resolve defects and issues, and to ensure that software products are thoroughly tested and validated
- Develop and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, and to identify and implement opportunities for automation and efficiency
- Mentor and train junior team members in QA processes and methodologies
- Manage multiple projects and priorities, and prioritize testing efforts to ensure that software products are thoroughly tested and validated
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- 4+ years of experience in manual testing, with a strong background in software quality assurance and testing methodologies
- Ability to accurately identify, document, and develop test cases from business requirements
- Thorough understanding of QA software quality standards, metrics methodologies, and best practices
- Experience in all stages of application testing, including UI, backend, functional, regression, API, and integration testing
- Experience with software development lifecycles and methodologies, including DevOps or Agile delivery models, with emphasis on Scrum process framework
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with ability to pay close attention to detail and handle multiple tasks with accuracy and thoroughness
- Experience with Agile tooling, including backlog management, test management, and documentation (e.g. Jira, Xray, Confluence)
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- 4+ years of Agile/Scrum experience
- Ability to mentor and train other team members in QA processes and methodologies
- Experience with automation testing, including creating and executing automation tests
- Knowledge of SQL, databases, and reporting
- Experience with SmartCom and Planet Press
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
