(US-Based | Eastern or Central Time | Contract → Leadership Track)
This is not an entry-level PM role.
If you have not personally delivered complex web or e-commerce projects end-to-end, this role will not be a fit.
We are a growing digital studio looking for a senior Web Project Manager / Delivery Lead to own delivery across client web and e-commerce projects and collaborate closely with our internal team.
This role requires deep web experience, strong delivery instincts, and high responsiveness.
Location & Availability (Non-Negotiable)
• United States–based contractors only
• Must be located in Eastern or Central Time
• Required to be online and responsive during standard US business hours
• This is a collaborative delivery role, not async-only work
• Quick responses to Slack and email are expected
• Active participation in project calls, reviews, and internal coordination is required
If you prefer fully async, low-touch PM work, this will not be a fit.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
You will own delivery, not just track tasks.
• Manage web and e-commerce projects from strategy → content → wireframes → design → development → launch
• Translate client conversations into clear, developer-ready requirements
• Run kickoff calls, milestone check-ins, and client updates
• Catch inconsistencies between strategy decisions, design outputs, and development execution before they become problems
• Keep projects moving when clients stall or requirements are incomplete
• Ensure developers have clean inputs and clear direction
• Document approvals, changes, and scope decisions
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously without loss of momentum
You’ll collaborate closely with:
• the business owner
• a development manager
• designers and developers
You are expected to drive projects forward, not wait for direction.
Required Experience (Strict Filter)
Please do not apply unless you meet all of the following:
• 10+ years experience managing professional web projects
• Hands-on experience delivering e-commerce websites (Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom builds)
• Strong understanding of:
• web architecture
• CMS platforms
• content strategy
• wireframing and design handoff
• front-end vs back-end considerations
• Ability to read developer notes, ask intelligent questions, and identify risks early
• Proven ability to move projects forward with incomplete or evolving information
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
This role is not for PMs who avoid technical topics or rely entirely on others to interpret requirements.
What This Role Is NOT
• Not a task-only coordinator
• Not a meeting scheduler
• Not a process-enforcer without delivery accountability
• Not a junior PM role
• Not a place to learn web fundamentals on the job
We need someone who already understands how web projects break — and how to prevent it.
Contract & Growth Opportunity
• Contractor role to start
• Immediate project work available
• High-performing contractors can quickly grow into a senior delivery or management role
• Opportunity to take ownership of larger initiatives as trust is established
This is a role for someone who wants to build leverage, not just log hours.
How to Apply (Required)
To be considered, please include:
• A brief overview of your web and e-commerce project experience
• 2–3 examples of complex web projects you personally managed
• A short explanation of how you handle:
• conflicting strategy vs design decisions
• mid-project requirement changes
Applications that skip these steps will not be reviewed.
Final Note
We value ownership, responsiveness, and delivery.
If you take pride in launching real web projects — on time, with clarity, and without chaos — we’d love to talk.
