• Develop and maintain complex T‑SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Perform detailed data mapping between source and target systems, including documenting transformation and business rules.
• Analyze, profile, and validate data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ETL job failures, performance issues, and data quality problems in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data owners, and BI/reporting teams to clarify requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for ETL workflows, data mappings, and database objects.
• Support deployment, scheduling, and monitoring of SSIS jobs (e.g., via SQL Server Agent) in lower and production environments.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with SQL Server and SSIS in a data analyst, data mapper, or ETL developer role.
• Strong proficiency in T‑SQL, including writing and tuning complex queries, stored procedures, and views against large data sets.
• Proven experience designing and building ETL workflows and data pipelines using SSIS (control flow, data flow, error handling, logging).
• Demonstrated background in data mapping, data profiling, and validating data across multiple source/target systems.
• Experience working with relational database concepts, indexes, performance optimization, and basic database administration tasks.
• Solid understanding of data quality, data governance, and best practices for maintaining data integrity.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively on a fully remote, cross‑functional team.
Nice to Have
• Experience with reporting/BI tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI, or similar).
• Background in data warehousing concepts (star schema, dimensional modeling, fact and dimension tables).
• Experience in industries with complex data.
• Duration: 6+ months, with potential for extension based on performance and client needs.
• Work arrangement: 100% remote within the United States.
• Employment type: W2 or 1099 or C2C (no third‑party agencies, no visa sponsorship).
