About the Role:
The Structural Drafter will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed structural drawings and documentation in alignment with engineering and project requirements. The role involves working closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure timely delivery of quality structural documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and modify structural drawings, including concrete, steel, timber, and masonry elements.
- Interpret architectural and engineering plans to produce detailed structural documentation.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant Australian standards, codes, and company guidelines.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other drafters to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
- Assist in clash detection and resolution between structural, architectural, and services drawings.
- Maintain and update project documentation throughout the design and construction lifecycle.
- Contribute to quality control processes and drawing reviews.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Structural Drafter in the construction or engineering industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (or other structural drafting software)
- Strong understanding of Australian building codes and structural drafting standardsAbility to interpret and translate engineering calculations and sketches into working drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Diploma or Certificate in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.
