Job Description:
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of direct reports
• Possess a strong working knowledge of Traveler Payroll and the various compliance and audit needs, including garnishments and reporting.
• Develop a strong working knowledge of UKG and be available to help troubleshoot software issues and escalate to UKG as needed
• Help answer payroll compliance questions regarding tax issues, with knowledge of when to collaborate with our internal tax team
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration with other Payroll Team Leads
• Assist with the implementation of new and existing projects or systems
• Train new team members and maintain documentation of the Payroll Compliance processes
• Oversee assignment of daily tasks to ensure payroll timelines are met
• Provide coaching to direct reports through one-on-one meetings, complete and present annual performance reviews
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• At least two years of payroll processing experience.
• UKG experience is a plus.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent in work experience
• Experience in multi-state payroll processing
• Knowledge of payroll and employment tax laws
• Ability to effectively communicate information to employees and management
• Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping confidential information
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/assignments while consistently meeting deadlines
• Great problem-solving and analytical skills
• MS Office experience, including skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, along with Smartsheet.
• Provide excellent customer service to various internal and external customers.
