Interim Payroll Manager (Contract) – Fully Remote- Perfect opportunity to fill in a gap while searching for a perm role.
Pay Rate: $40/hour, DOE
Contract Duration: ~7–8 weeks (ASAP start date, will run through April 17th–24th)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Interim Payroll Manager to support a global payroll team during a leave of absence. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Global Payroll and oversee payroll processing in partnership with internal staff and an offshore support team.
This position requires strong hands-on payroll expertise, leadership skills, and experience handling high-volume, multi-state payrolls using ADP Vantage.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise payroll operations under the guidance of the Director of Global Payroll
• Collaborate with an offshore payroll team
• Assist with processing payroll for 2,500+ employees
• Ensure accuracy of employee data, benefit deductions, garnishments, and tax setups
• Manage payroll for terminations and new hires
• Prepare reports and maintain compliance
• Utilize ADP Vantage and advanced Excel to monitor and validate payroll data
Requirements (Must-Haves)
• 5+ years of payroll experience, including 2+ years in payroll management
• ADP Vantage experience required (non-negotiable)
• Strong Excel skills (formulas, reporting, data validation)
• Experience processing high-volume (1500+), multi-state payroll, including California
• Ability to work independently in a remote, heads-down environment
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal and offshore teams
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in manufacturing is helpful but not required
• No degree required
