Contract - Travel Clinical Nurse Informaticist (RN Required)
Hybrid - 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off in rural Alaska (Travel provided)
We are looking for a seasoned Clinical Informaticist who understands that true healthcare IT happens at the bedside, not just behind a screen. As we expand our services with new clinic stand-ups, we need a expert to bridge the gap between complex Epic workflows and real-world clinical care. This is not a role for someone who needs training. You will be entering a Community Connect environment where your value lies in your ability to optimize workflows, document institutional knowledge, and support clinicians within the constraints of a hosted system.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the informatics charge for new clinic implementations, ensuring smooth go-lives and operational readiness.
• Act as the primary architect for our clinical knowledge repository, documenting current-state and designing future-state optimizations.
• Spend significant time with clinical staff to identify pain points, provide "at-the-elbow" guidance, and translate clinical needs into IT requirements.
• Provide high-level support across Epic Inpatient and OpTime (Surgery) modules.
• Navigate the unique challenges of a Community Connect model, working effectively with host sites while advocating for local clinical needs.
Required Qualifications
• Deep understanding of the Community Connect model, specifically the limitations regarding build access and the importance of workflow-based solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Epic Inpatient and OpTime is required.
• An Active Nursing License (RN) is required (for at least one of our open positions).
• Senior-level readiness to contribute on Day 1 without foundational training.
• People-oriented, culturally adaptable, and comfortable working in a remote/rural healthcare environment.
