Job Summary:
The Training Supervisor, under the direction of and reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, is primarily responsible for administrative supervision and oversight of training specialists to ensure successful training of employees, monitored by trainees’ quality and productivity output. Additional responsibilities include implementing process improvement initiatives and meeting business goals. The Training Supervisor works directly with other departments to support 3DR’s goal of delivering quality cases on time. This role plays a vital role in fostering a positive culture through collaboration, proactive problem solving, and demonstration of our core values.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Dedicated to the delivery of quality cases on time by driving best-in-class training.
- Ability to lead a team of Training Specialists. Direct supervision of employees including payroll processing, staff scheduling, coaching, disciplinary action processes, and performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Track the success of the training classes and identify opportunities for improvement, providing follow-up with each training specialist.
- Participate in the interviewing and hiring process for team members.
- Work closely with the Learning and Development Manager and Senior Training Specialists on updates to the training program.
- Collaborate with other departments to make data driven decisions to ensure scalability of Operations without losing the integrity of delivering quality cases on time.
- Work closely with Operations Supervisors to provide educational support for technologists who do not meet quality and/or productivity expectations.
- Analyze data and help drive process improvement initiatives.
- Work to support the achievement of 3DR’s strategic, financial, and operational objectives.
- Foster a culture of trust, engagement, accountability, and innovation.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellence verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills including conflict management.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and the ability to prioritize tasks according to objectives.
- This position may involve working non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends and occasional holidays to ensure continuation of operations.
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology/Medical Imaging.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, management, or similar operational degree.
- Previous leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft O365 tools, Paylocity, or similar programs. Ability to easily learn new software as required.
- Experience with process improvement, including Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is helpful.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- 15 – 45 direct reports.
