Job Description:
• Sell the full Welch Allyn product line portfolio (patient monitoring and diagnostics) for Baxter across assigned NYC territory
• Prepare and continually refine a sales plan and forecast for specific target market opportunities
• Coordinate with technical and applications support, clinical consultants, sales engineers, solutions architects, corporate and strategic accounts, and product management to facilitate sales
• Call on current and prospective acute care customers (hospitals and IDNs) and multiple call points (C-suite, nursing, administration, cardiology, radiology, respiratory care, med/surg floors, ED, clinical informatics, IT, Biomed, materials management)
• Execute full sales cycle: opportunity prioritization, accurate forecasting, qualification of large/sophisticated sales, customer presentations, professional follow-up, and goal attainment
• Develop customer-driven solutions using stand-alone and EMR connected systems to improve hospital efficiency, patient safety and outcomes
• Use data to identify key opportunities and implement consultative selling to uncover unmet needs
• Use marketing communications to create promotional, advertising and trade show activity to improve company and product visibility
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of outside sales experience (medical device experience preferred)
• Experience selling medical equipment with connectivity is desirable
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, organizational, problem solving, facilitation, and presentation skills
• Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employer will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa
• Willingness to travel 80% in territory including overnights
• Home base in Manhattan, Queens, or Nassau County; territory includes Manhattan (South of 108th Street), Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island
