ATDN NEDP State Trainer Reports to: ATDN Coordinator Part-Time: ~325 hours per year -or- ~5-10 hours per week Remote Pay Rate: $51.51/hour  The position is open until filled - anticipated start date: ASAP Job Description: The Adult Training & Development Network (ATDN) is seeking an individual for the NEDP State Trainer role. This position will support the Connecticut State Department of Education, Academic Office Adult Education, in the implementation and expansion of the National External Diploma Program (NEDP). Responsibilities include providing training and technical assistance to local programs, supporting NEDP implementation and evaluation processes, and ensuring alignment with state and program requirements. Major Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver the following NEDP trainings annually: two (2) Implementation Trainings, one (1) Evaluation Workshop, and one (1) Policies & Procedures Training. Review submissions for the On-Demand Refresher Training as participants complete it throughout the year. - Plan and facilitate one (1) NEDP Directors' Meeting and two (2) Lead Assessor Meetings annually, in collaboration with CSDE. - Provide statewide technical assistance and Portfolio Reviews for newly trained NEDP Advisor/Assessors. - Maintain training and staffing data, and assist CSDE with NEDP-related questions and meetings. - Manage additional state-assigned Portfolio Reviewers as needed. - Recruit and train additional NEDP State Trainers, as necessary. - Serve as liaison to CSDE on NEDP-related matters. - Assist ATDN and CSDE with other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Experience with the National External Diploma Program (NEDP) - Experience in working collaboratively with state agencies. - Experience with adult education and adult learning populations. - Ability to collaborate and problem-solve with other educators to utilize resources Qualifications/Requirements: - A minimum of a teaching certification, and at least 10 years of teaching or related educational experience. - Strong technology skills are required Application Procedure: Applications should be submitted for consideration by visiting EdAdvance's employment page at, http://edadvance.org/about-us/employment, and clicking on the APPLY button next to the job posting of interest.
