Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance and support to students in understanding chemistry concepts, analyzing assignments, and interpreting class materials.
- Assist students in developing critical thinking, scientific communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Foster effective study habits and skills, enabling students to achieve academic success.
- Work with students in an online format, utilizing digital tools to facilitate learning and engagement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned and/or required.
Essential Qualifications
- High School Graduate, Equivalent, or Current Running Start Student.
- Basic computer competency.
- Applicants need to meet at least one set of course qualifications:
- Inorganic Chemistry: Completion of CHEM 141/151, CHEM 142/152, and CHEM 143/153 or equivalent courses with an average decimal grade of 3.5 or better.
- Organic Chemistry: Completion of CHEM 241/251, CHEM 242/252, and CHEM 243/253 or equivalent courses with an average decimal grade of 3.5 or better.
- Reference from an instructor or professor if you are a current Olympic College student.

- College teaching or previous tutoring experience.
- Demonstrated excellence in Chemistry.
