Freelance – Cosmetic Product Translation Proofreader (FR → EN)
We are looking for a freelance native English proofreader to review and refine the English translation of a cosmetic product packaging (beauty mask).
The product has already been translated from French to English. Your role will be to proofread, improve fluency, accuracy, and ensure the wording is fully aligned with cosmetic industry standards, especially for packaging and consumer-facing claims.
Responsibilities
• Proofread and refine an existing French → English translation
• Ensure terminology is accurate, compliant, and adapted to cosmetic packaging
• Improve tone, clarity, and naturalness for an English-speaking audience
• Flag any wording that may sound unnatural or inappropriate for beauty/cosmetics
Requirements
• Native English speaker (US or UK only – mandatory)
• Proven experience in cosmetics, skincare, or beauty industry
• Strong understanding of cosmetic packaging language (ingredients, benefits, claims, instructions)
• Excellent attention to detail and sensitivity to brand tone
Nice to have
• Previous experience working on cosmetic or skincare packaging
• Familiarity with regulatory-conscious wording (EU / international cosmetics)
