Key Responsibilities

• Assist with providing individual and small group tutoring on a variety of subjects as directed by the classroom teacher
• Provide in-classroom support for students working on individual assignments and projects
• Assist with creating and attending field trips and Community-based learning assignments
• Assist with logistical aspects of classroom setup and maintenance
• Proctor examinations and standardized tests
• Communicate classroom needs with the main office and counseling office
• Monitor students' academic needs in the classroom and discuss these needs with the classroom teacher
• Perform clerical tasks as needed
• Keep students on-task during direct instruction and individual work-time
• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom set up, as appropriate

Essential Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Required college course enrollment
• Associates degree or higher preferred
• One or more years of work experience with adolescence is preferred
• Relevant work experience in the content area preferred

• Demonstrated experience working with students in a educational setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
