Job Summary
We're seeking a talented College Co-op to join our Software Engineering team as a remote employee. As a Co-op, you'll work on a variety of projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop your skills, and be part of a dynamic team that's shaping the future of air travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on exciting projects and contribute to the development of innovative solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software applications
- Assist in the development of software performance and reliability engineering solutions
- Participate in omnichannel technology projects, including reservations technology, consumer experience, and commercial and enterprise mobility
- Contribute to the development of AI and automation solutions
- Work closely with IT teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and participate in testing and quality assurance activities
What You Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to commit to working full-time (40 hours per week) for two rotational semesters
- Must be an undergraduate university student with a 2.5 GPA or better
- Must have completed a minimum of 2 years in a university program
- Degree emphasis should be in Computer Science, Software Development, Systems/Industrial/Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics/Operations Research, Cyber Security, Business Management, or a related field
- Strong analytical, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent work ethic and ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and prioritize safety and security
- Familiarity with cloud technology, software development lifecycles, and/or PC hardware components and/or maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of data analytics and data visualization tools
- Experience with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL
